Malaysia Counsel
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Providing legal advice to the senior management and other in-house lawyers to ensure all the legal needs are met in a timely and professional manner;
Ensuring compliance with all applicable local and US regulatory requirements;
Managing and supervising use of outside legal services;
Anticipating, identifying and articulating legal issues and company policies on various corporate, commercial and operational matters to the senior management;
Conducting research, analyzing, negotiating and writing correspondence, legal memoranda, contracts and reports in a professional and persuasive manner;
Developing and delivering relevant legal training for employees and supporting global ethics and compliance efforts;
Working closely with and collaborating with the legal and corporate secretarial departments;
Taking responsibility for other duties as assigned.

team player in order to collaborate with key decision makers and the legal team based throughout Asia
well-versed in corporate governance issues
strong leadership abilities with high ethical values
able to secure the confidence of and become a trusted and valued partner to senior management.
Requirements:
Recognized Degree in Law (Second Class Upper or higher) from a reputable university
Called to the Malaysian Bar with at least 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities described above.
Possess in-house exposure in corporate and transactional legal affairs as well as private practice experience representing medium to large size corporations.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams.
